Fencing Camps

En Garde Fencing offers numerous camps during the year, both through the club and through local community centers. Our camps are an excellent introduction to the exciting sport of fencing. At camp, students learn the rules of the sport, the amazing history of fencing, and play games that help develop skills learned during footwork and drills. Camps are designed with the beginning fencer in mind, so no prior experience is necessary to fully enjoy them. Fencers 7-13 years old are welcome to attend. All needed equipment is provided free of charge.

Check out these upcoming summer camps!

We have two camps in Sebastopol this summer and one in Santa Rosa, all three are sponsored by the community centers in their respective cities. Check back with this page periodically for more information, or call the community center listed for each camp to sign up when registration opens.

In Santa Rosa:

The 1st annual En Garde Summer Fencing Camp for Kids!

We're very excited to offer our first ever summer fencing camp through the Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Department. Fencers will begin by learning the basics of fencing: footwork, rules and the history of the sport. Students will participate in fun swordfighting games, bouting, skill building, cross-training and more at this week long camp. Over the course of the five day camp we improve skills and knowledge of the sport until at the end of the week we hold a tournament in which the top eight finishers recieve gift certificates and prizes!

No experience necessary to join the camp. Fencers should bring a bag lunch each day and dress in comfortable, loose fitting clothes such as sweats or shorts and running shoes. Contact the Finley Community Center at 707-543-3737 or go to their website and sign up today!

  • Dates: July 14th-18th, Monday-Friday
  • Times: 10am to 2pm
  • Cost: $150 for Santa Rosa residents.
