En Garde Fencing Classes
En Garde Fencing teaches numerous classes in Santa Rosa and throughout Sonoma County. Fencing is often seen as an expensive sport, but we work hard to make it affordable and fun. If you are interested in trying fencing, check out our membership page for more information on the cost of classes. Once you see how easy it is to get started, take a look at our list of classes and come try us out! We teach group classes for ages 5 and up. It is not necessary to buy equipment to begin fencing. We provide basic fencing gear at no extra cost as part of our membership.
Club Classes at En Garde Fencing
- Beginner Tryout Classes (all ages)
If you've never fenced before, check out our half-hour tryout class every Wednesday from 6:30-7:00PM. No experience is necessary! This is a great way to familiarize yourself with the sport of fencing to decide if this is the right sport for you. Cost is $15 per class. - New! Wee Warriors!(Ages 5-8)
Swords and adventure! If you've got a budding sword-swinger on your hands this is the class for them. No experience is necessary! Fencing improves balance, coordination and mental agility. It's great exercise for young kids with a sense of adventure. Class is every Friday from 4-5PM. - Youth Fencing (Ages 7-12)
Beginner to Intermediate level classes every Wednesday and Friday from 5-6:30pm, and Saturdays 10-11:30am. Become a member and gain the skills needed to engage in tournament level fencing. Students with electric equipment get to fence for an extra half hour each class! - Teen/Adult Fencing
Club Fencing Nights are available for teen and adult members every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7-9PM (Foil and Epee). Thursdays from 7-9PM and Saturdays from 12:00-2PM are our saber classes. - Home School Classes
Our home school fencing class meets once per week during the months of September through May. We are excited to offer this class to students in Sonoma County. This fall our classes will run from 1-2PM and 2-3PM on Tuesdays, starting on September 11th, 2012 and running until the end of May, 2013. Call or email for more details!

Schools
Our home school fencing class meets at En Garde Fencing on Tuesdays from 1-2PM and 2-3PM, starting September 11th, 2012 and running to the end of May, 2013. We are excited to offer this class to students in Sonoma County. Give us a call and come join our group!
Jim is available to teach guest fencing PE classes at your school! Affordable rates and a flexible schedule. Contact Jim.

Private Lessons
- Available by appointment. Private lessons provide you with the opportunity to focus on critical aspects of your fencing skills in a one-on-one setting. Lessons are very valuable for students who are interested in participating in competitions. Contact Jim for more information.
Birthday Parties and Special Events
- En Garde Fencing has a large open space with about 3,000 sq. ft. of wood flooring. Contact Jim if you are interested in renting the space for special events, conducting a morning yoga class, or celebrating a birthday party. (Yes, we do fencing birthday parties!)
Our Facility
En Garde Fencing is located at 917 Piner Road in Santa Rosa, conveniently close to Highway 101. We're fortunate to have a spacious facility, with approximately 3,000 square feet of beautiful wood flooring, 6 strips and lots of fencers to train with. Come join us on Monday, Wednesday or Friday nights and enjoy an evening of fun and excitement with our growing family of fencers.
